Governors

Members of the Governing Body work hard for and on behalf of the school and are committed to providing the highest quality of education for the children who attend St. Michael's School. The Governors work effectively as a team and each bring their own skills on a voluntary basis for the good of the school.
The Members of St Michael’s Church of England Primary School Academy Trust are:
- Mr J Williams
- Mr R Burnett
- Mr A Swain
- Ms D Rossingh
The Governing Body of St. Michael’s Church of England Primary School consists of:
- Ms D Rossingh (Chair of Governors) - "I was elected Chair of Governors and Safeguarding Link Governor in 2025, having been appointed as a Parent Governor & PE Link Governor in 2022 when our son was in Year 5. He has since gone to Bournemouth School, and we will forever be grateful to St Michael’s for giving him not only an amazing education, but also for exposing him to so many cultures and languages! Just like many parents at our school, I didn’t grow up in Britain but it has become my home since I first moved here in 2002. I was born and raised in the Dutch countryside, and educated in the Netherlands and the US. For the past 28 years, I have worked as a business and sports writer for international media including the BBC, the Daily Telegraph, CNN International and Bloomberg News. An average tennis player, and a recent convert to pickleball, I can often be found near an athletic track or football field at weekends to watch our son compete. Having covered the London Olympics and multiple Grand Slam tennis finals, I am passionate about all things sports, and dedicated to making sure all of our children get a shot at playing sports".
- Mr O Fadoju (Parent) - "I am Oludare Fadoju and I was appointed as a parent governor in March 2025. I have over thirteen years work experience in the education sector both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom after a few years in the banking industry. I have foundational academic trainings in both accounting and finance and hold professional certifications and a Masters degree in finance from reputable institutions which has led me to primarily work in the finance department. I have attained the role of Director Financial Services of a university in Nigeria and since arrival in the UK in 2022, I have been working as a finance manager at either a Trust academy or Special School. I therefore hope to bring on board my experience for community impact in a voluntary service. I am the SEN link for the governing body. My children have been at St Michaels since arrival in 2022 and they have great interest in the school".
- Mrs G Dumitriu (Parent) - "My name is Giorgiana Dumitriu, and I am a Parent Governor at St Michael’s Primary School. My main monitoring area is Special Educational Needs (SEN).
I wanted to become a governor because I care about children feeling understood, supported, and included at school. I’m naturally empathetic and I connect easily with children, especially those who need a bit more patience, reassurance, or understanding. My interest in SEN comes from this sense of empathy rather than formal training. Through my work in healthcare and community settings, I’ve learned the importance of listening, kindness, and working together to support people in a fair and respectful way. As a governor, I hope to contribute thoughtfully and support the school in creating an environment where every child feels valued".
