Illness
Some illnesses/infections require that your child is kept away from school for a fixed period of time.
We follow the Health Protection Agency guidance on infection control in schools and other childcare settings for all illnesses. You can download a copy of this guidance, including details of exclusion periods below.
Children suffering from a gastrointestinal illness (diarrhoea and/or vomiting) MUST be kept off school for 48 hours after the symptoms have stopped to limit the spread of infection.
If your child is absent from school, please ring the school office - telephone number 01202 290497 - on the first morning of absence.
If your child has seen a doctor and been prescribed tablets, medicines or other medical drugs which have to be taken more than three times a day as part of the treatment, these should be brought to school by the parent/carer and signed in by a First Aider.
Headlice and Nits
If a case of headlice is identified in your child's class, we will send out a text to the whole class informing you.
If you should receive a text please check your child's hair.
Please see the link below for information on what to look for and how to get rid of headlice and nits.
