RE | Sikhi Our key question for the half term is: Are Sikh stories important today? We will look at some famous Sikh stories and discuss their relevance for Sikhs, and people of other faiths, today. |

Geography | This half term, our focus will be India. The children will:

Design & Technology | The children will design and make a pop-up toy. They will focus on the design as well as how cams can be used to produce different types of movement and change the direction of movement. |
PSHE | In our PSHE lessons, we will discuss how puberty changes can affect our emotions and we will look at ways to manage this. The children will also have the opportunity to ask questions about puberty and change. The additional unit of work is finding out about the work the RNLI do and beach safety. |
Music | This half term the children will explore the topic ' At the movies'. This will take a journey from 1920's animated films until the present day. They will learn the techniques required to create a soundtrack and a film score. They will create and compose their own movie music. |
Computing | This term, Year 5 will learn about video editing. They will then go on to use a BBC Microbit as a data logger. |
