School Prayer

Our school prayer was refreshed in 2023 to reflect our community and the state of our world after the pandemic. The prayer was written by children alongside the school collective worship coordinator:

_{Dear God,}

_{Thank you for our diverse community,}

_{And for each and every opportunity.}

_{Help us to show respect to all;}

_{To be always peaceful when at school.}

_{Give us courage we humbly pray,}

_{To let our lights shine every day.}

_{Guide us to follow the St Michael’s Way,}

_{To be honest in all we do and say.}

_{To make good choices and do what’s right,}

_{As we grow together and shine our lights.}

_{With patience and care we’re shown the way,}

_{To a love of learning and joyful play.}

_{Thank you for our family and friends,}

_{And your love that never ends.}

Weekly Prayers

Children bring prayers to worship each week in the hall, they also share prayers in class and year group worships. We then share those prayers on our social media channels. The prayers our children write reflect the concerns that our children have around their community and the wider world. A selection of their prayers can be seen below:
