Home Learning
In Year 6, the home learning is as follows:
Reading: Your child should be reading 5x a week (and read to them as much as you can too). Please sign their yellow reading diary.
English: Each child will be given a CGP book for Reading and SPaG to develop their 'reading comprehension' skills and compliment the SPaG learning in class. The tasks will be set on Friday and due in on the following Thursday.
Maths: There is a weekly Maths task accessed through Maths.co.uk The new task will be set on Friday and due in on the following Thursday; simply login and the new task will be ready. We will also like the children to access Timestables Rockstars to develop their timestables knowledge ready for the timestables test on Fridays.
Spellings: There will be a spelling test every Friday. See below for this week's spellings.
ALL HOMEWORK IS DUE IN ON A THURSDAY
Maths homework is updated on maths.co.uk every week.
Summer 2 Home learning
This half term there is no CGP reading or SPAG homework. Instead we will be setting the children a different project each week. They will then present their work to the class.
Project Homework
Set 5.6.26 Due 11.6.26
As most of you will be going to on our residential trip to Ferny Crofts shortly, we would like you to learn about ‘The Countryside Code’. Research what this is, and write up your findings. You could prepare a poster, a leaflet or a spoken presentation. You will be expected to share what you have produced with your class.
Remember you should not directly copy what you find on the World Wide Web. Instead, you should write things up in your own words.
