The St Michael's way of moving around the school
Know that I need to walk when I am inside.
Know that I always walk on the left of corridors.
Know that our school is a shared space and I need to look where I am going.
I know that I need to look where I am going and use the handrail on the stairs.
Know that I need to walk silently in the corridors.
Know that displays around the school show our hard work; I need to look at them but not touch them.
Know that we greet each other in the St Michael’s way when passing in the corridor.
Know that if the corridor is busy, we should greet with a whisper voice.
Know that worship is a special time. We need to walk to, enter and leave worship calmly and silently.
Know that I behave this way with every adult because it is the right thing to do.
Know that we stay in our line.
Know that we keep our hands to ourselves.
Know that the person at the front of the line is expected to hold the doors open for other people.
Know that we are expected to show respect by allowing adults through the door first and using the phrase : “After You”.
Moving independently.
