Operation Encompass
Wed 24 Mar 2021Dear Parent/Carer,
St Michael’s CE Primary has been given the opportunity to take part in a project that will run jointly with Dorset Police.
Operation Encompass is the notification scheme that informs school when a child or young person has experienced any domestic abuse.
Operation Encompass has ensured that senior safeguarding members of staff, Designated Safeguarding Lead (Nick Wills) and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (Anthony Evans and Jane Goodall), known as ‘Key Adults’, are trained to receive and use information from the Police, in confidence, while ensuring that the school is able to make provision for possible difficulties experienced by children, or their families, who have been involved in a domestic abuse incident.
We are keen to offer the best support possible to all our pupils and we believe this will be extremely beneficial for all those involved.
Yours faithfully
Anthony Evans

Road Safety
Mon 15 Mar 2021I am significantly concerned by the deterioration in parking around the school. Most of our families park responsibly, however a number of drivers are putting children, cyclists and other members of the public at risk. I provide further details on our road safety page. -
